Our commitment is to produce first-class pellets, while ensuring environmentally friendly techniques are used. BADGER Pellets® fall within the framework of sustainable development.
Geographic position
The pellets are manufactured on the same site as other François Group companies working on products connected with the production and processing of wood. This considerably reduces the carbon footprint.
Clean energy
The energy used to manufacture our pellets is produced by burning end-of-life wood products. Although wood burning produces some sulphur and nitrogen, it reduces disposal as well as the cost of disposing of the waste. All of the impurities produced by burning gases are eliminated before they can be evacuated via the stacks and thanks to high performance filtering systems.
Sustainable Forest Management
The sustainable management of our forest harvesting permits a regeneration of oxygen and the absorption of CO2 while the trees are growing. By ensuring the renewal of the tree cover, burning wood waste does not contribute to global warming or increase the greenhouse effect. The source of energy regenerates at the same rate as that at which it is used. The CO2 emitted by its energetic reclamation or its degradation is again absorbed by the plants for their growth. Energy is renewable.
